My second piece inspired by the opulent opera houses of Europe. Although the china figurines of musicians evoke the 18th century, the grid of boxes for the audience reminds me of Ormond Gigli's photograph "Girls in the Windows" from 1960. The little audience members themselves are vintage cupcake toppers, surrounded by flea market jewels and plush velvet.
