Creative Construction
ages 8 - 11
Wednesdays 4:15 - 5:15 pm
September 11 - December 4
(No class September 25th, October 2nd, & November 27th)
Come build junk sculptures, 3-D scenes, and mini vehicles! We will learn basic design and construction techniques using cardboard, wood, wire, recyclables, air-dry clay, and other fun materials. LED lights and moving parts can take your projects to the next level. Bring your own ideas, interests, and willingness to experiment, problem-solve, and try again. My mission is to teach you the studio skills to make the things you can imagine!

Mixed Media: 3-D Techniques
September 23 - October 28
Mondays 7:15 - 9:15 pm
Come explore the third dimension… We will create both wall-hanging and table-top artworks using found objects, reclaimed packaging, wood, wire, acrylic paint, adhesives, hardware, and bling! Students will use a range of construction techniques to build sturdy structures and attach objects securely, then add excitement with moving parts and LED lights. We will learn to think about composition in layers, and how ornamentation builds dramatic effect.

Imagine, plan, gather, build, and create in 3D! Students will learn skills to apply a variety of construction techniques as we build really cool stuff.
MIXED MEDIA STUDIO
ages 9 - 12
Tuesdays 6:30 - 8:00
This empowering class gives students freedom to develop their own visions for mixed-media creations. The emphasis will be on 3-D work inspired by found objects and unusual materials, including reclaimed packaging, textiles, clay, wire, and LED lights. We provide guidance in the problem-solving process to transform the students' ideas into unique art pieces.
MIXED MEDIA FOR PRE/K
ages 4 - 6
Thursdays 4:00 - 5:15
This drop-off class introduces preschool & kindergarten-age children to the magic of creating art.
I have been teaching at Art Sparks Studio since 2012. I also teach at The Jewish Center of Princeton, the Arts Council of Princeton, and the West Windsor Arts Center.
From 2015-2020 I was the Arts Specialist at Painted Oak Nature School, where I founded
an art program inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach and integrated with the school's emphasis on the local environment.
