Little Antiquities I, II, III, IV
Roberto Lugo’s Orange and Black vases, and reading about Josiah Wedgwood and the way archaeological discoveries influenced art and design in 18th/19th century Europe, made me notice how wood turnings are shaped like Classical pottery. Then I saw the shapes everywhere— in plastic Easter eggs and the handles of old rubber stamps—
